Unusual: Since they are all in the quinolone class , it is surprising. On the other hand, each drug has its own chemical structure and thus it is possible that you are not reacting to one of the group. In general, if I get a history of a reaction to two drugs in the same class, I will select an alternate.

Take Cipro (ciprofloxacin): Since you are not allergic to Cipro (cipro (ciprofloxacin)floxacin) you can ask your doctor if you can take cipro (ciprofloxacin) as you do not have any other choice as you are also allergic to Bactrim
