I have a 'scab' over the left side of my cuticle on my toenail. it isn't painful. i'm just a little worried as to what it is.

Abrasion or blister: It may just be a mild abrasion that is healing on the side of your toenail. Other possibilities: If you have had an ingrown toenail, sometimes the skin will become very inflamed, forming a granuloma. A blister can form at this area if it has been rubbing against your sock or the shoe. If you are concerned about it, have it checked out.
