It has it's benefits: Topamax (topiramate) is an anti seizure medication that has some mood stabizing properties. It may help prevent or reduce migraine headaches. It tends to promote weight loss. It is not an antidepressant nor is it an anti mania drug. It might help reduce alcohol drinking and it might help reduce cocaine use in cocaine users.
