Unknown: There are no good long term studies looking at the safety of testosterone or clomiphene in men. However, clomiphene works in a more "natural" way to increase testosterone levels, and therefore may be safer. You should always do multiple baseline tests for testosterone, and have clear cut symptoms associated with testosterone deficiency before starting either medication.
