Consult your doctor: In most cases, formula provides almost everything a baby needs for the first four to six months. The only exception is vitamin D. Babies who drink less than 32 ounces of formula a day need a daily 400 IU vitamin D supplement. You should always consult your doctor before dosing on Vitamin D.
