Immediately Whenever: All vitamins are single molecules so plentiful in most foods that humans have not retained all genes/proteins to manufacture out of other molecules, typically missing just 1 step. Food is a complex mix of billions of molecules & body's digestive process deals with the absorption complexities. Yet some people promote fear of ingesting some molecules not in optimal order; rarely a significant issue.

Nearly ALL FDA approved prescription medications (tools to alter internal physiology) = single molecule (from nature, no other source exists), purified & extensively tested at specific amounts (doses) per unit time. Why only single molecules? Impossible to simplify fantastically complex humans. Big pharma = modern form of Chinese herbs. Don't give whole herb; only use a single researched molecule.

How long does it take for a vitamin to work?

Vitamins: This is very difficult to answer because you do not specify what vitamin and what you need the vitamin to do for you. If you have a true vitamin deficiency, it should be corrected within a month or even sooner with daily dosing.
