Hi.. i am taking tegratol cr300 mg daily and my ggtp levels have increased to 130 and they should be lesser than 38 . i cannot stop the drug as the seizures reoccur on stopping the drug , and no other seizure drug has suited me till now. can u suggest me

Continue: If you have no side effects continue the medicine The levels are a guide and occasionally patients are controlloedwith higher and lower levels If you have no dizziness or balance problem continue and periodically check the liver function and electrolytes

Enzyme induction: Tegretol can cause enzyme induction (increase without indicating liver dysfunction. Speak to your prescriber. If bilirubin is normal and there are no other indications of liver problem, it is not going to cause harm.
