Side effects: Tegretol should not cause symptoms so long after you have stopped it. You need to see your doctor to find out other causes.

See MD: The tegretol doesn't "cure" absence seizures, it controls them. If you meant that you were still having memory loss, confusion and speech issues, that's something best answered by your neurologist

Not likely Tegretol: The persistence of your symptoms makes it unlikely that Tegretol was the cause. See a neurologist to evaluate your symptoms and develop a treatment plan.
