A member asked:

How long after exposure is an rna hiv test accurate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

3-7 days: HIV RNA can be detected by available methods like PCR within 3-7 days after exposure. If you suspect exposure it is recommended that you start post exposure prophylaxis (medication) within 3 days or as early as possible
