Counselor: First meeting is usually introduction to get to know your history & set up a treatment plan. You might want to mention what things brought you to see her/him & what you want help with. Best to you.

Therapy Session: The initial session is where you decide if you can work with them and they, in turn, decide if they can work with you. You are letting them know why you are seeking help. Therefore, I would suggest being as open and honest as you can in the initial session. Remember, your information is confidential- unless you are are in danger or you are threatening someone else.
