Subscientific: Using a spot creatinine to estimate glomerular filtration rate is subscientific but it's something that our weird medicolegal environment forces labs to do, using a formula that was intended for populations rather than individuals. The number is estimated using different formulas "because black people are more muscular than white people." Creatinine's produced by muscle. Be glad for good health.
