Small: There should be directions to prepare for your colonoscopy. This will include fleet enemas (sodium bisphosphate) at the end. Many GI doctors do not use these but others will The name fleets is the maker and these are small enemas with about 240 ml of fluid. There is a long snout on the tip of the bottle . You need to know these are lubricated. Insert into rectum and squeeze slowly. Give 2nd if necessary Ask you doc .

Colostomy nurse: This important question can be best answered by your colostomy nurse or gastroenterologist. I assume that it will require one fleets enema through the colostomy and another through the rectum if both areas are to be visualized during the procedure, but it's best to consult the abovementioned specialists about this matter.
