MOM: Milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) (mom) is a fairly gentle and safe laxative. It draws fluid into the intestinal tract to moisten and soften the stool. You may need to be on a daily fiber supplement to prevent further problems.

Miralax (polyethylene glycol): This is an over the counter medication. Take one capful with whatever juice of fluid you prefer once a day. It is odorless and tasteless.
