But unless you have a professional there during labor and delivery, and afterwards, you risk a dangerous result for both you and your baby. Talk to your OB-GYN and see what is possible in your case for safe settings for delivery in your area, a birthing center may be available.

With a midwife: For normal (not high-risk) pregnancies home births have better outcomes than hospital births but it is crucial to have a skilled midwife.
