Common symptom: Low back pain can be caused by many, many things. Most commonly, it is from normal wear and tear and gets better with stretching and stabilization exercises. If it is waking you up at night or impacting your ability to do your normal activities, you should see your doctor. Staying hydrated is helpful for life in general- but back pain is not usually the first symptom of dehydration.

Back pain: It could be a lot of different things. Depends on how it started, exacerbating and relieving factors, radiation of pain towards the legs and how far, other symptoms like tingling, numbness or weakness etc. If there are no other symptoms, pain should get better in a week or two. If it persists, see a pain specialist to get a proper evaluation.
