Different symptoms: Most genital HPV infections cause no symptoms, but some HPV infections cause genital warts. Warts are painless growths in the genital area. Herpes is entirely different and doesn't look or feel anything like warts or HPV. Typically it causes blister-like bumps that then become open sores and heal over the next week or so. If you are worried about any of these, see your doctor for exam and testing.
