Lower colon cancer..: ..rates have been reported in vegetarians vs non-vegetarians, though the effect may not be as big as you expect. A recent study cited a 22% reduction in vegetarians. People who eat fish as their only form of meat had an even lower rate (43% less than non-vegetarians). (Orlich MJ, et al. JAMA Mar 15, 2015).
