A member asked:

My question: every 2-3 weeks i go to a barbecue restaurant and eat meat where the surface is mostly black (burnt), i just became concern as i heard burnt food can lead to cancer. what are the chances? can i do anything now to make up for the mistake?

A chemical called Acrylamide is found in burnt food. So far there is no quality evidence to show a link of this ingredient in burnt food and cancer. Eating a healthy diet ,no smoking, reduced alcohol consumption, good oral hygiene are all good habits to avoid cancer.
