A member asked:

Which test is more sensitive for detecting drugs: a blood test or a urine test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Drug testing: The key issue for sensitivity is the method of detection, and the physiology of the drug in the body. Many drugs are metabolized or excreted through the urine and thus tend to be concentrated in urine samples that are tested by lateral flow immunoassay. Blood testing by Mass Spec is also highly sensitive but not as widely available.
