One if the same: Bio-identical hormones are identical to the hormones that are made by the human body. The term "bio-identical" does not indicate the SOURCE but rather refers to the CHEMICAL STRUCTURE. The term is used interchangeably with NATURAL as in "found in nature". Ironically, naturally occurring substances cannot be patented so, the pharmaceutical industry chemically altered them in order to get a patent.
