Snowman Sign: In Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return, there is a severe abnormality of fetal circulation wherein the pulmonary venous drainage is into the right atrium instead of the left. The "snowman sign" refers to a chest xray finding in which the abnormal contour of the heart and mediastinum(above the heart), with a little imagination, looks like the body of a snowman.
