Eye inflammation: JIA/JRA patients are at higher risk for getting autoimmune eye inflammation called uveitis that can lead to blindness if not detected and treated. It is essential that patients get eye screeing (slit lamp exam)from eye doc at least once yearly and up to 2-4 times per year depending on age at JIA diagnosis and if ANA test is positive or neg.Can be silent with no symptoms or can be with pain/redness
