Allergy: no - you either are allergic (immune response to something) or you are not. Many people think they have allergies when they really just have side effects - for example people say they're allergic to a narcotic when they get nausea when really this is just a side effect of narcotics.

Yes: Being allergic can be confirmed by skin test or blood test and if necessary a challenge test. Thinking that you are allergic is merely a thought process. The difference is like your own face vs the mirror image of one.
