Can retest next week: If last sex was less than 2-3 weeks ago, one can recheck another home pregnancy test next week. A urine pregnancy test done correctly gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened). If a woman has her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed.

Period: wait a week and then check the pregnancy test again, the blood test if negative is confirmatory that you are not pregnant. if so then this is side effect of the birth control pill
