Shoulder pain: Shoulder pain is common after laparoscopy. It is caused by gas that is trapped between your liver and your diaphragm. Unfortunately, you can't get all the gas out no matter how hard you try. It has nothing to do with your withdrawal. It should resolve as your body absorbs the gas over the next few days.
