Anti-HIV antibodies: may disappear in advanced AIDS as the immune system becomes extremely depressed and can't maintain normal antibody production. This stage of disease is associated with many symptoms related to infection and malignancy because the immune system is not working. If you are otherwise healthy, I would not suspect a false negative test even 12 years after exposure.
