Not exactly: Appendicitis occurs in about 1.1 per 1000 people per year. Gallstones occur in 8.6% of white males, 16% of white females and in Hispanics 8.9% of men and 26.7% of women. Incidence in African Americans is 5.3% in men and 13.9% in women. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
