Yes indeed: Any illness that causes fever or other body-wide inflammation can cause night sweats, including glandular fever (same thing as infectious mononucleosis or "mono", the usual terms used in the US). If you've been diagnosed with GF/mono and are having night sweats, that's probably the cause. But if in doubt or for additional reassurance, contact your doctor.
