Dry eye: See an eye MD for confirmation of dry eye diagnosis. How do you know there is "no prob in tears"? Dry eye can result from deficiency in tears or problems in the oil layer or mucus layer of the tear film. Proper diagnosis guides the treatment which may include artificial tears, Restasis, punctum plugs, flax seed oil, or even surgery depending on the cause and severity of the condition.
