Crying baby: Okay. Start with some Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for the pain. Then call the doctor for a check up. Sore throat, ear infection or both are possibilities. It is really hard to know your child is in pain and feel helpless. You will feel better too if you take the trip to the doctor
