Sciatica: 18y w. low back pain into upper thigh is describing sciatica. Causes are many including disk disorder & Pyriformis syndrome. Per med lit., up to 30% of chronic low back pain is due to sacroiliac joint, SIJ, disorder; highly associated with sciatica. In teenagers participation in contact & extreme sports often causal. Permanent injury to SIJ ligaments manifests as chronic low back pain & sciatica.
