I was told need to take z-pac antibiotics for persistent cough. is there any other way as i don't like taking antibiotics for reasons of superbugs?

You do not: you do not take antibiotic for cough. unless the cough is productive with brown to green sputum,and associated with fever,or the lung sounds that you have a bacterial bronchitis or pneumonia. otherwise take a cough medicine to stop the cough. see a doctor fpr evaluation and treatment
