Ovulation: Ovulation occurs about 14 days before your menstrual cycle. You can use a home ovulation kit if you are trying to conceive and having problems timing intercourse around ovulation. You can do a Progesterone blood test 7 days after suspected ovulation to confirm. Neither of these are necessary unless you are having problems getting pregnant
