Needs soft stools: Constipation is a frustrating problem in children who have had a painful bm in the past. Try "p" fruits peaches, pears and prunes, increase fluids and continue your fiber. May need mineral oil one tablespoon twice a day to bring soft stools. Important also to go over birth and early stooling history with pediatrician to rule out anatomic causes of constipation.
