A member asked:

How effective is procentra for treating adhd? what's the diff between procentra and dexedrine (dextroamphetamine)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both are amphetamine: Both Procentra and Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) are d- (or dextro-) amphetamine. Their differences are essentially cosmetic (packaging, labeling, formulation, solution vs solid form). Procentra effectiveness is identical to that of Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) because they contain the same drug. Amphetamines are very effective for some types of ADHD. There are other types of ADHD that do not respond to amphetamine.
