That depends...: Depends on how long the symptoms have been going on and whether there are associated symptoms such as swelling in the ankles, wheeze, fever, worsened breathing when lying flat and a number of other questions and physical exam data points. Try mucinex (guaifenesin) to loosen any phlegm. If symptoms are long-standing, an exam by a physician at a minimum.
