I developed a red itchy subsequently bumpy skin rash after using tea tree oil on toenails. the rash is on the top and between toes, now shiny.

Allergic reaction: It seems you may be allergic to the tea tree oil and it may have dripped on and between the toes causing the rash and itching. Discontinue using it and topically apply a cortisone cream. You can also take oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine). If this does not resolve, see your podiatrist.
