Here are some ...: The degree of pain from stone passage through ureter highly varies among patients reflecting personal pain threshold, the degree of ureteral blockage, resultant pressure above the blocking stone, and possible superimposed infection, etc. In reality, insurance availability may sway how you may be treated so to serve the demand of political correctness and commercialism. So, ask and talk with Doc.

See remark: If you have kidney stone disease with unbearable pain what STOPS you for seeking help ,specially since you have insurance . Whoever diagnosed you with stone (if urologist) can take care of the problem .If your primary care MD diagnosed the problem, let him refer you to a qualified Urologist.
