Urinary retention: Urinary retention is an emergency. If you can't pee, go to the E.R. If you can't urinate, the bladder will continue to fill and the discomfort will gradually progress into pain that usually becomes excruciating. The E.R. May do a ct scan to evaluate the kidney stone issue as well. With issues like this, you should try to get insured. Ask to see a social worker while in the E.R.
