Cancer of the pancreas tail 12 cm, what to do?

Resection: A 12 cm. pancreatic cancer in tail region without metastasis very rare. Since these lesions asymptomatic unless bleeding from varices of greater curvature of stomach how was lesion discovered. If PET neg for metastasis then distal resection with spenectomy needed. More likely lesion is a cystadenoma or cytstadenocarcinoma which still needs resection.
