im only 24 and my knees hurt badly standing up for 2 hours or sitting on a chair for 4 hours long. what should i do?

Exercise : On the surface, what you are describing maybe as simple as patellofemoral syndrome. Females are much more commonly affected due to the geometry of the pelvis and how it affects the tracking of the knee cap when you move. I would ofcourse see a physician to be sure, but start with exercise.
