Felt a migraine coming on and took maxalt (rizatriptan). why does it make me feel sick? like i need to lie down, hard to focus, foggy, head feels funny.

Sick Headaches: Migraines are sometimes known as "sick headaches" in some circles. It is not unusual to have associated vomiting and nausea. Best thing is to lie down in a dark room, cover your eyes and go to sleep if possible. Sounds like you had an "aura" of visual change as well. Be sure to have a formal diagnosis of migraine by history and exam including fundoscopic exam(back of the eye) by a physician.
