Can you take zantac (ranitidine) while taking uribel? i know it says not to take antacids like tums, mylanta as it will interfere. how is zantac (ranitidine) different?

Absorption: Zantac (ranitidine) doesn't physically interfere with the absorption of tablets or pills whereas antacids can as they coat the stomach lining. This interference is most marked if you take tablets just before or soon after taking the antacid.
