Many treatments : talk to your doctor about the treatments. Treating back pain can be complex and usually requires an approach using multiple therapies. Medication to relieve the pain and exercises are a good start but it will take some time for the pain to improve.

Ask your doctor: Your back needs time to heal. While medications you listed are not critical, they are a part of the healing process. Ask your doctor if the medications are giving you adverse reactions.

Not necessarily: Medications for back pain are generally not a cure in and if themselves; the primary purpose of them is to try to keep you reasonably comfortable and functional during the recovery process. Thankfully the natural history of most episodes of back pain is pretty high. So if you choose to tolerate the pain, rather than take medications, it will usually not affect your overall recovery.
