A member asked:

Is it possible to increase how hard you can breathe inward and outward, and would it make you healthier?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sure on meaning: I don't quite know what you mean when you say "control how hard you breathe inward and outward"- Certainly we control our RESPIRATORY RATES to a degree as well as DEPTH of breathing & we can do FORCEFUL inspirations/expirations but generally one can't sustain that pattern for very long without getting dizzy or tired. Doing those things would have NO significant effect on degree of healthiness.
