There is Treatment: I think you are referring to hemolytic disease of the newborn. When an Rh-negative woman carries an Rh-positive baby, small numbers of the baby’s red blood cells may get into the mother’s bloodstream. This can happen during her pregnancy as well as at delivery. The mother’s immune system sees the baby’s Rh-positive red blood cells as foreign and goes to work to produce antibodies against them.

Depends: Rh factor jaundice is a potential threat to a fetus, if the mother develops antibodies to the Rh factor. Most O neg women would only develop antibodies if they had a blood transfusion of O + blood, or their pregnancy exposed her to the O+.In the US it is routine to give rhogam at about 28 wks and after delivery to cancel the problem.If this is not done in the UK, or anywhere, the chance is real
