Not Likely: There are many reasons why your throat could feel swollen or sore and cancer is very low on the list of causes. More likely causes like bacterial or viral infections, heartburn, or post-nasal drip are far more common and far more likely. Activities like smoking and chew put you at greater risk for mouth/throat cancer. If you are concerned see primary doctor for further evaluation.
