Different action: There are 3 major brain chemicals associated with depression &anxiety &mood: serotonin, norepinephrine & dopamine. Ssri increase serotonin, snri, increase serotonin & norepinephrine. You may have fewer side-effects with an snri & may feel better overall. It is usually trial & error to find the best med to control all your symptoms with the least amount or most tolerable side-effects.
