I broke my ankle in a car accident today. i've been to the er and they put it in a splint. i was wondering, how should i sleep with it?

Pillows!: The best way to deal with a splint is pillows. If you are a back sleeper, elevate that foot on a few pillows. It will protect your other foot and help with swelling. If you are a side sleeper, put pillows between your legs, preferably the injured one on top.

Elevated: Elevate the injured ankle higher than your heart. Sevral pillows or stack of blankets should do. This decreases the swelling and helps with pain control.
