Fluid on knee cap, doesn't drain unless dr does it, it fills right after. how often is ok to go get drained? how do i stop it filling again?

Varies : There is not a set limit. Every time you do drain it, there is risk of introducing infection. Three times is a general rule. The bigger wuestion is why it keeps occurring and what can be done. A detailed exam and appropriate studies can determine the cause and options for treatment.
